This quiz was created by blending two powerful psychological frameworks—the OCEAN model, a well-established theory that identifies core personality traits driving human behavior, and brand archetypes, universally recognized figures that reflect fundamental human motivations and emotions.

The concept is built on the understanding that people often perceive brands as if they were individuals, forming impressions based on both obvious and subtle cues a brand presents. Just as we connect with people through personality and emotion, customers build relationships with brands that feel relatable and human. By uncovering how your brand is perceived—its personality and emotional resonance—you can communicate more effectively, forge stronger connections, and align your messaging with the psychological and emotional needs of your ideal customer.

What Happens After the Quiz?

When you’re done, you’ll see two customer profiles based on your responses. These profiles will describe the key traits of your customers and how they might relate to your brand. This will give you a better understanding of who your customers are and how you can connect with them more effectively.

Before starting the quiz, take a moment to think about the customers you serve. Picture their habits, attitudes, and personalities. As you go through the quiz, focus on the adjective presented to you and ask yourself:

  • Does this adjective describe my customer?
  • How strongly do these traits match the way my customers behave or interact with brands?

Please note: This is not a timed exercise, and there are no right or wrong answers. On average, the quiz should take 5 to 10 minutes to complete.
